Well a few years back I learned I had Copd based on a sleep study where I was fitted with a nasal pillow mask. Fast forward, I ultimately was give a nasal mask which has served me well. I recently got thinking about that test and wanted to try this nasal pillow mask with a chin strap attached. Well it’s very comfortable to sleep, in it fits like a glove, but the chin strap doesn’t offer enough resistance to keep my mouth shut during sleep. I’m going to look at my options, I have tried multiple chin straps with varied success. The mask is a winner!

These OptiLife nasal pillows are what came with my CPAP originally. When they wore out, I settled for an inferior product I found quickly on Amazon. I was immediately disappointed with my choice. They didn't seal properly and periodically caused sores on my nose. I guess I'm a procrastinator, because it took me several years until I _finally_ looked around to find the 'original equipment' again. Thank goodness for Direct Home Medical! This was the exact same equipment I had previously, and it feels so good! I am immediately sleeping better, and feel foolish that I waited so long. Great product at a reasonable price, and shipped quickly. I've bookmarked Direct Home Medical so I can easily find the product again – and next time I won't wait so long!

.Best mask so far
I was using full face masks with limited and stressful results. I decided to try the Optilife Nasal pillows and cradle cushions as an option. I've found the nasal cushions to be the best solution of all the masks I've tried. They leak less than the full face masks I've tried and are far and away more comfortable. The only downside is that the hose extends from the base of the cushions and pulls on the cushions when I move around. I have solved that issue by placing the hose over the headboard of my bed so that the slack in the hose does not get taken up by my movement. Other than this one issue I like this mask better than anything I've tried in the past year that I've been using CPAP.

Ordered the headgear with pillows and got what I expected and then some. I wear a medium but got those and a large. The large will work if I rip the medium like I did last time. Everything new and sealed. Payed to have it shipped quicker and got it a day earlier than they said, and I was one happy guy. Will purchase from them again.

I tried this as a fit pack and liked it enough to keep. NOT in my usual rotation of mask sets but they are in my travel pack because it takes up very little space. Don't like the 'trunk' that isn't removable for a bathroom run but comfy.

.Best CPAP Mask for Me
I've tried several others, but the OptiLife works best for me. The cradle cushions and straps are comfortable and stay in place all night. The package is a bit pricey, but one mask usually lasts 4-6 months. And a good night's sleep is priceless anyway.

.--MASK FROM HELL--
I should have listened to the reviewers who gave this a low rating instead of the ones who gave it a glowing review because this is the absolute worst mask ever!! Used several nights with both nasal pillows and cushion. There are no redeeming qualities. Very uncomfortable, chin strap is as useless. Extension hose is not needed just added junk. Complete waste of money.

.The chin strap is a joke
I have tried many CPAP mask in the 9 years I have been on CPAP therapy. This mask by far is one of the least desirable. The chin strap did not really keep my mouth shut. The nasal pillows were uncomfortable for me.

.The best of all masks tried
This mask is the best of all masks I have tried over the years. Full face masks are irritating and uncomfortable on the face/nose, and leave marks. Nasal pillow masks by themselves do not work well for me because of the air coming out of my mouth, as I sleep with my mouth open. Otherwise, I like them for the comfort. This pillow mask with chin strap works great. No more air out of the mouth, and it is very comfortable. I started using the cradle, and find it is the best of all-no nose irritation that needs needs lube applied to the nose pillow. It took some effort to adjust the straps correctly, but now works just fine-even when I turn on my side. This adjustment process was probably what caused the guy to write a long note below saying that the mask does not work for him, or there is something different about his face contour. I hope this mask continues to be manufactured.

.Comfortable fit and good value
This mask is very comfortable; straps are easy to adjust and nasal pillows provide a good seal without being harsh on the nose. My biggest concern is what I see to be a manufacturing defect; at the top (off the mask) and bottom (just before the connection) of the hose, just past the first and last rib openings, where it transitions from a solid piece to a rib into smooth plastic, a small hole develops. I realized this after about eight months.

I have used this mask for a month now, and I like the ability to switch between nasal pillows and the nose cradle. I have never used the cradle option before, and am amazed at the comfort it gives my nose. I will most definatly use this companies products again.

.Had to replace after almost 20 years
This item was not as expensive as I thought it would be, in fact it's cheaper than what I originally paid for the mask. The Phillips Resperonics Optilife mask has been my choice for almost 20 years, and though I've seen many other mask styles, this has been my choice. I like the fit and function of the mask, it's easy to clean & maintain.

.No comparison to ComfortLite 2
I've been trying to make this mask work for 3-4 months now. It seemed passable at first, but I really regret not returning it in the 30-day trial period. I used ComfortLite 2 for 7 years before this--why mess with a good thing?!--but now that it's discontinued, I'd hoped the OptiLife would be a fitting replacement. Sadly, not so. No matter how I try to alter the adjustments, the headgear straps just won't align the way I need them to to pull in the chinstrap to the position I need it. And if I tighten the chinstrap to bring it in close, it actually makes the headgear lopsided. Not good, because as you pull the chinstrap adjuster right-to-left, it pulls the right side of the headgear down if you go past a certain point, which means the nasal pillows--rather than sit level under the nose--tilt down on the right as well, sort of like a seesaw. Result = air leak. If you can only have the chinstrap at a certain adjustment without screwing up the headstraps and the pillow adjustments, it's not really an adjustment option, is it? So I've taken to wearing my old chinstrap beneath the headgear, but the fit is still not comfortable. For me, at least, this product would need different adjustment options (that aren't all inter-related to one another) or perhaps a "female" counterpart sizing. After getting the gear just this side of acceptable, there's the hose. It can be clipped either up over your head or to your clothing (or bedding). I sleep in the buff, but I find it's more comfortable clipped downward (which is surprising given that I slept like a dream with the upward-stype of the ComfortLite for 7 years). If I clip it to the bedding, things start out fine--until I shift in the night and then the nasal pillows are pulled away from my face. Air leak and struggle ensure. Other nights, I clip it up, but a little shift again and it'll twist the nasal pillows right out of my nose. More air leaks and struggling to set it aright while half-asleep. Arrgh! Don't know what I'm going to try next, but that's why I logged in today. Gotta admit I made a mistake on this one and try something different. If you like something lightweight and that you don't feel on your face, maybe this could work. Others have given rave reviews. But me, I like to know my headgear is there and not going anywhere. If it means marks, so be it. At least I'll have the energy to take on my day and enjoy it! Not this suffering, cranky, barely-getting-through-it, gotta-nap-in-the-day-or-feel-like-I'll-die alternative--not much different than the way things were pre-treatment. Ugh!
