I travel a lot for work. I've ended up using this machine full time, when I'm away from home or not. Love the humidifier disk that gets replaced once a month. I don't miss the hassle of distilled water that other cpap machines require. I highly recommend this machine.

.Great for travel, adding Q-lite muffler is a MUST!
Everyone who has an Airmini, or read reviews of Airmini, know of the "Darth Vader" breathing noise coming from the mask exhaust. I'm new to CPAP (6 months) and love my Airsense 11 for home use, but dont want the bulk when traveling by plane. Airmini solves the bulk problem of the Airsense 11, but creates a noise problem the 11 doesn't have. Hence the enigma of the Airmini, and since I travel alot it became a quest to solve the problem. I've been fortunate to test-drive a friends Airmini for a few months and tried many different masks, hoses, and settings with Airmini (thanks to Direct Home Medical for the 30 night mask trial period). Yet no combination of the above reduced the Darth Vader noise to a level of quiet sleep comfort. Before giving up I decided to try the Q-lite muffler and I think I've found the magic combination! (at least for me). Here's my Airmini travel setup in order: Airmini with Zephair adapter. -> Q-lite muffler. -> 4ft slimline hose connected to 6ft slimline hose**. -> Inline HME filter. -> P10 nasal pillow mask (not the special Airfit P10, just the standard P10 that I use with my Airsense 11). **If I'm on a long-haul flight and using the Airmini then I'll pack the 6ft hose in my luggage cause you only need 4ft hose on the plane, but adding the 6ft hose in the hotel allows placement of the Airmini at various plug outlet locations in different hotel room situations, and it moves the Airmini motor noise away from the nightstand (you now have a 10ft hose!). This combination has significantly reduced, but not eliminated, Darth Vader mask exhaust noise to the point of being only slightly louder than my P10 + Airsense 11. I have a simple db meter app on my iphone and measured 5 to 6 db mask noise reduction by just adding the Q-lite muffler. That's really impressive! As a result, I purchased the Airmini for my own use (from DHM of course) knowing I can now sleep without needing earplugs or white noise apps.

.Nice Idea for traveling But did not work for me
It was a nice idea for traveling out of county, but I could not get used to it. I had to return the unit. Every night I tried to use, I did not sleep well, it kept awake and next day I was very tired.

If used with a frame that connects to the hose above your head, the frame feeds the air beside both ears and it is LOUD. Seriously, sleep disrupting loud.

.How to ensure a Five Star experience
The AirMini is a great little machine, especially for travel use. My first night’s use was a terrible experience - very noisy during inhalation and super dry mouth/nose. I was ready to return the unit but made the following adjustments and now it works almost as well as my ResMed 10. I purchased a "muffler" to quiet the inhalations and it helped reduce noise by about 90%. Secondly, I added an HME humidifier filter which also helps about 90%. These additions are easily attached, and I’m very satisfied and enjoyed a great night's sleep.

These machines are expensive but worth every penny. Direct Home Medical gave me a nice discount helping to bring the price down lower than any competitor. . The best surprise is that it is much more quiet than anyone said it would be! The kit is a few bucks most but definitely worth it.

.Regret buying
I hope to get my money back on this. I’m not sure why but the air pressure on this is horrible. Even with the 45 minute ramp time. I bought this for a June trip to Israel not thinking to try it much before the trip. Most of the nights I suffered through it and before the 10 day trip was over, I took the mask off and slept without it.

I love how small and portable this machine is. I planned to use it at home as well as for travel, but it is much noisier than my old ResMed machine with a built-in humidifier, so I'll only use it for travel until my old machine finally quits working. I need a humidifier, so I bought the HME filter for it. The humidifier filter only works so-so, not great, but it will be enough for a few days of travel.

.Excessive Painful Agressive Air Pressure
Machine produces aggressively high / impinging Air Pressure right from when you put it on. The Pressure is so high that I wake up with pains in my Lungs and dryness in my Nasal passage / throat with every use. Machine makes so much noise that it keeps waking you to adjust your mask intermittently while sleeping. One would think that with such a sophisticated Machine, the Air Pressure is supposed to increase and / or be regulated according to one's demand? I had to revert back to my old Phillip Repsonic with the Mirage Quatro Full Face Mask

.So loud it kept me awake
Very disappointed. The machine itself is quiet. The noise of my breathing, specifically my inhalation, is much louder than my bedside machine. Tried it 2 nights and it kept me awake. Like sleeping with Darth Vader on an PA system. Fortunately, I sleep alone. Doubt a bed partner could/would tolerate it. Others suggested using earplugs but that’s not a workable solution for me. Super disappointed because I was really excited about having something so much smaller & lighter. Am sending it back.

.Air Mini Portable APAP Machine
This travel size is so much easier to pack and accomplishes what it is suppose to do. Barely takes luggage space. Doesn't use water and is just as effective as one that does. Advise that you take an extension cord because most hotels do not have plugs or no plugs near the bed. For international travel, make sure you bring an adapter. I bought one and loved it. I bought another one to give to my daughter as a gift. It will make traveling easier for her of not looking for distilled water when she gets to her destination and especially, she has one less piece of luggage to worry about.

.Best Little CPAP Machine
This device is very small about the size of a iPhone Max with the thickness of a 24 pack of Sliced American Cheese. The ability with the various adapters to use in a car, plane, or alone with the battery backup module. One can purchase adapters to hang it from a drawer, edge, under mattress, etc. Even though it uses a different app, just about all the features of the main ResMed app are available like sleep score, instances of an event, etc. it is so compact I now have so much space left over in my luggage compared to lugging around my main AirSense10. If there is a negative for this device, it would be that the information doesn’t or can’t be combined with the information of another device. This defeats the purpose of purchasing this device since I purchased it for travel due to not wanting to lug around my Airsense10 device(which by the way is 1000% larger than this device.

.Too Loud
The machine itself is not loud, the HME is loud. I sound like Darth Vader when breathing in and out. I ordered a new hose hoping it did not have the HME in line but it did. I'm going to try removing the filter and see if that works. If not, I'll cut it out and put a piece of tubing in there. THe machine is convenient for traveling which is why I do not want to give up on it yet.

.Small, Powerful, Not Perfect
It is small, it works, and has easy interface with a battery (sold separately). On the downside, for the full face mask, it is much noisier than a regular machine (noise from air exchange in the mask connector, not the machine) and there is no humidification option (dry throat and sinuses in the morning). Also, they should have enabled the device to give the customer the choice of masks — I prefer the Mirage Quattro full face mask to the F20. I will probably still travel with my full machine but this is small enough to take as a backup.

Very disappointed so far, the machine is noisy. When you breathe in it makes noise. All seals and connections have been checked and they are correct. I have ordered muffler pack to see if that removes the issue. Sad about this.

The size and weight of the device is perfect for travel. The only drawback is I don’t think the device is self adjusting. Once it ramps up it stays at high flow. It is also very noisy when exhaling. This is why it wasn’t rated 5 stars.

The overall size of the primary unit works perfect for travel, which was my primary reason for purchase. It's well made and has enough weight to rest safely on the bed table despite the weight of the attached hose and mask (I was concerned that its small size would induce "wander" off the table during sleep movements). It also packs well in the suitcase because all components are separate. My only complaint is that it doesn't offer a distilled water chamber. I live in a dry climate and need that extra moisture through the night. Yes, there's a hydration "pellet" that connects inside the mask, but it's not the same. To be fair I have only used this once. My guess is that I will get used to the pellet over time, certainly the convenience is in the unit's favor.

I use a Philips Dreamstation normally and bought this machine for frequent travel. It is indeed small, very portable and I like the features in the app. However this machine is very loud. It has a significant airflow noise (the sound of high velocity rushing air) originating from the machine that transmits down the hose into the mask which acts like a speaker directly into your face. I experimented with different settings in the app for a few days and there’s nothing that can be done to remedy it except maybe adding some kind of muffler device to the hose. I can’t find anything like that on the internet, but even if I did that would defeat the idea of having a small, compact travel machine. In addition, I experienced significant pressure fluctuations within the mask as I inhaled and exhaled - compared to the Dreamstation which is rock-steady. I would acknowledge that everyone has different thresholds for noise toleration. Since DirectHomeMedical has a 30 money back guarantee on this unit I would recommend giving it a try if you need a travel device and you think your ability to tolerate the noise is high. I would just recommend not getting any added accessories such as the travel bag until you’re sure you want to keep it - they are not refundable.

I had a regular Res-Med 10 with a humidifier which required water everyday. We were planning a cross country RV trip for two weeks, so I ordered the AIR MINI along with the HUMID-X filters for the trip. It worked out super great. By the end of the trip I was delighted I didn't have to deal with the water. I how turned off the humidifier on my ResMed 10 and use it with a HUMID-X filter in my F20 mask. I still use the AIR MINI everyday when I take a nap. That way I have two separate charts showing how well I did at night & during my naptime.

love the ease of carrying this on vacation. takes up little room, and does a great job. I am used to moist air, and the mask I have to use didn't required moisture, and it does make my mouth very dry. That's the only down side to this one. I am a mouth breather, so that doesn't help. You will not regret this buy!

The AirMini is a nice little CPAC travel device. It does not take up much room in my carry-on luggage. People complained about the noise from the unit, but I believe the noise is really coming from the humidifier section of the tube which is close to the mask connector. So if you have problems sleeping from loud noise, then the AirMini may not be good for you. The AirMini is almost like the AirSense, but I think the breathing feels more comfortable with the AirSense. Overall, the AirMini works for me when I travel. However, when it comes to comfort with the airflow and the noise level, I still enjoy my AirSense for everyday use.

.Perfect for travel
The Airmini APAP is incredibly small, including the hoses, cord and mask. I would guess the total space needed is about 1/3 of the regular machine. I like to travel on my Harley and the extra space is great. It is a bit louder than my standard Resmed CPAP, but not so loud that I can't go to sleep. I'm sure the automatic pressure adjustment also makes it more useful than the regular CPAP. All in all definitely worth the money.

I travel a lot and ride motorcycles and so even though the CPAP machines have gotten much smaller over the last ten years this AirUltra Portable APAPMachine package is unbelievable! It's literally the size of a soda or beer can. I wondered how it would work and how well it could work. It's the easiest and works wonderfully. I've only slept with it one night just to try it and I couldn't believe how easy it was to use and how well it worked. Thank you for making an excellent machine. I've ordered the humidifier and nose pillow mask to try that too. I'm a mouth breather (multiple broken noses from a misspent youth and chronic rhinitis now) but I have to admit I end up breathing through my nose with these new generation machines. The masks are limited with this CEPAP, the one I received leaked unless I made it uncomfortably tight. The machine is much louder than my other two Res Med machines. If they made it compatable with other masks and or quieter I would have kept it. With 2 major deficiencies I sent it back. Cost is a little high,

I have been using a CPAP for about 10 years and it has greatly improved my life. The only issue I had with it was when I travel. The space it took up in my baggage and having to find and purchase the distilled water to use. I recently have taken a new job that involves more travel. This CPAP had taken care of those issues. The CPAP itself is 1/4 (if not smaller) of my nightstand machine so adding it to my luggage is not going to be a problem at all. The new mask that comes with it uses no water but the moisture in your exhaled breath so there isn't a water reservoir to fill as well as empty & clean. I use the nasal pillow type mask and this new mask is actually softer and more comfortable than the one I use everyday at home. It is so comfortable that I actually called Resmed up to ask them about using this system as my Everyday CPAP. They said I could but they don't recommend using daily because it was not designed to everyday use and since I payed for this out of pocket (around $700) I did not want to wear out my travel machine. Overall I would say that it was AWESOME and I am very glad I invested in this machine.

I'm currently 1 week into my 15 day trial and so far I'm very impressed. The 1st night I only got a score of 90 and woke up with dry mouth several times. By night 3 I was scoring 97 and since then 100 per night. I've also not experienced other than a touch of dry mouth. The AirMini is very quiet and compact and I'm confident it will serve me well on my travels, especially transoceanic trips. .Great but
The purchasing process was flawless. The air mini is small and so easy to operate. Noisy in comparison to my other equipment requires me to wear ear plugs in order to get a decent night's sleep. Would recommend it to a friend but not if they have to use a full face mask.

.Exceeds Expectations
I meant for the ResMed Air Mini to be for travel only but amazingly I prefer it to my ResMed S-10! Both are great machines but one thing I was most happy about was how well the humid ex worked on the mini as I get nosebleeds easily.

.Very small
I ordered the AirMini, Dream Station Go, and the Z2 Auto to see what would replace my Z1 auto. Air mini was the smallest with a small brick pls it comes with a mask- very good value. Setup was easy and I liked it. It was quiet. Ultimately I picked the DreamStation GO because while bigger, there was no separate brick to leave behind. However I couldn’t tell a difference in the performance. If you want the smallest and lightest go with the AirMini.

.Love the AirMini! Compact, light, power efficient!
The Resmed AirMini was pretty expensive when it first came to the market, but thankfully has come down in price. With incentives like a free mask now included, this device is more attainable. And, the AirMini is everything I'd desire in a portable unit! Lightweight, compact, and energy efficient! I used it for 5 days on a single charge of my Medistrom Pilot-24 CPAP battery... and that's averaging 5-6 hours of sleep per night. Excellent for a week of camping! One tiny grip: Resmed requires use of their proprietary mask/hose system specific to the AirMini, which means you cannot use the same hardware as home units. Also, while it didn't bother me, some find the mask to be a bit noisy. Direct Home Medical offers excellent products at competitive pricing with fast, reliable shipping. .Had to return it
I found Direct Home Medical great to deal with - the five-star rating is for them. I'd give the machine and mask two stars, because of the proprietary mask. I really like this portable APAP machine and wanted it to work out, but the mask was very uncomfortable. It hurt my nose and each time I used it, and it came off my head just a few hours after going to sleep. The machine itself is very lightweight, works great, and would be perfect for travel, but the mask made it a no-go. I knew it would be an adjustment when I made the purchase but had high hopes it would be ok. I wish the machine would not require a proprietary mask so I could use it with the mask I'm already comfortable with. If it did, I'd rate the product five stars also. I called DirectHomeMedical Customer Care to discuss the return. They were fantastic to deal with. They gave me all the detail I needed to make the return and were very pleasant. I would certainly do business with them in the future.

.Portable and powerful.
The compactness of this product makes it easy to with when traveling. One disappointment is the limited compatibility choices with headgear. I would love to see a straight extension hose that could connect to the DreamWear nasal mask. Much more comfortable and secure when sleeping. I hope to pair it with the SoClean 2 Go soon.

I got mine last year when going on a trip to Costa Rica and now have done lots of traveling with it. Just love it. It is quiet and no water needed. It is light and fits in my carry on bag so it is much easier for me if I am traveling alone. A great accessory is the thing that allows you to hang it on a drawer etc. This keeps the Cpap from falling on the floor and causing damage to it. Best investment made.

Have used it for a week now, love it! I have a Z1 but could never get comfortable with it. Exhaling always seemed difficult, especially with the humidifier in place. I use a ResMed AirSense 10 for my every night machine (love it too), and this ResMed airmini seems almost identical in function. There is no drag at all, but you can hear your exhalations. I quickly got use to that and believe it has something to do with the humidifier. I am using the regular humidifier, HumidX, and it seems to work just as well water. I use the ResMed P10 nose cushions so there were no adjustments there. I love the automatic turn on and off, and this machine is so very easy to use for this digitally challenged person. I feel confident I've found the travel machine for me.

.Better than I expected
I currently use a ResMed Airsense 10 and have loved it, but was a pain when I traveled. I took the plunge and bought the AirMini. All I can say is WOW. I don't notice any extra noise. The Humidex system for humidity works great. And this machine's footprint is so small. Great for traveling!

The device is small and easy to use. Not sure about the noise level which is significantly louder than my Resmed home cpap. Also, the head strap with nasal pillows is flimsy and doesn’t stay tightened with the tighteners provided. It slips off my head a few times per night. I bought this device for international travel related to size. I will limit it’s use to travel only given the aforementioned characteristics.

.What a deal!
I've been waiting to get this machine until it came down in price a bit and now I'm sorry I waited! Don't get me wrong, I was glad of the $150 discount, but boy could I have used this machine years ago. I travel for business quite a bit. I used Airmini for the first time on a trip to Costa Rica and it was amazing when paired with the P10 mask. I've always been impressed by Resmed devices and this one is my favorite so far. Well done.

.Air Mini is loud
I bought Air Mini for travel , mainly for foreign travel. I have only used it for one week and I have not get used to the hissing sound that comes out of the tube. I wake up a lot.It is so much louder than demonstrated on a video and also much louder than my regular ResMed 10 at home which is practically silent. I am disappointed.

.It's a Shocker!
I was a bit trepidatious about the AirMini when it came out, mostly because I was liking my Pilairo mask and AirMini only supports the P10 for nasal pillows at this point. (I hadn't used the P10 before.) Well I have to say my concerns were firmly put to rest (pun intended) after my first night with AirMini. It really is crazy small and beautifully designed like Resmed products usually are. The P10 is a very good mask and the way it integrates with the AirMini humidifiers works like a charm. So much better than a big humidifier, or no humidification, when I travel. I'm in Europe now (well at least until Brexit!) and loving every bit of it with AirMini. Thank you Direct Home & Resmed.

.Loud Humidifier
Machine is great, small, light and quiet. The mask is also great seals well and is comfortable. There is one issue, the humidifier hisses like crazy. I love the concept of the inline humidifier and not having to find a bottle of water everywhere I travel, but the hissing is really loud and irritating.

Just received my machine this past week. Love the size, how it packs up for travel. Have only used it one night. The humidifier seemed to work great however the machine is louder than my larger Remed that is much quieter.
