I've been using the Ultra Fine Filter with my REMstar CPAP for several years. I generally replace them monthly and the old one usually has some discoloring indicating it has trapped airborne particles.

.A mistake that turned out good!
I ordered the filters because they were a good deal (price-wise). Unfortunately I ordered the wrong size and they were way to big formy machine. I decided to keep them anyway and cut them down to the size I need using the filter which came with my machine as a model. They work great!
