Description
With the 16SOFT Salter wasn't content to improve just the cannula's tubing and faceplate; they also redesigned the bolo to resist twisting while maximizing comfort and wearability. 16SOFT cannulas include a standard oxygen supply tubing connector end so they're easy to attach to longer tubing when necessary.
Every inch of the Salter-Style 16SOFT Nasal Oxygen Cannula is designed to bring a touch of comfort and softness to oxygen therapy. No wonder Salter's 1600 series are the cannulas most often worn by long-term oxygen patients.
USAGE: This cannula is disposable and should be discarded and replaced when it becomes soiled, discolored or the prongs become stiff. For best performance cannulas should be replaced at least once every 14 days. For complete instructions review the documentation that came with your equipment.

The soft tubing is excellence for someone that has a sensestive nose no pulling i found these at Vanderbilt Medical in Nashville Tn. My insurance does not offer the soft so i like them so much i buy them on my own that should be enough said.

.Comfortable to use
As nasal cannulas go, this is the most comfortable I have experienced. I'm glad, too, that it is made 25 feet long, so I can get some distance from the loud thumps emanating from my night-time oxygen machine. I would recommend it to a friend. There are a couple of things, though, that I wish could be improved. For one, the strong plasticky odor when you first open the package. I have to hang it up to air out for several days before I can use it, but even then, I wonder if this is something I want to inhale for an extended time. Secondly, as a thought for the future: is there perhaps a less toxic, recyclable substance that can be used instead of the plastic? I hate the thought that I'm contributing to the growing collection of plastic in our landfills and in our oceans.

Love the 16SOFT Cannula. Very comfortable compared to other options. Probably like the 14 foot tubing best. That is the only reason for the 4 instead of a 5. Give the 14 foot tubing a 5 for sure.

.salter labs 16SOFT - does not sting my nasal passages
I was accidentally sent a 16SOFT, it was the greatest mistake I ever received. I am MCS (multiple Chemical sensitive)and use 4ft, 7ft, and 25 ft. I share them with the clinic, hospital, and home health care, and friends that use oxygen in my small town. These cannulas don't contain DEHP/pthalates? I know, for myself,when the air hits the mucous in my nose, it does not sting. Some oxygen concentraters are made with DEHP or toxic plastics, the POC I use now isn't as bad as the stationary unit. This type of cannula (16Soft) is the most comfortable I've found. A lot of health professionals think I'm crazy, but if you have a sensitivity, you would understand.thank you ever so much.
