No mask or machine required, the Bongo RX is a small, discreet device that can fit in the palm of your hand. The Bongo RX works by using EPAP (Expiratory Positive Airway Pressure) therapy to treat mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea. Once the device is inserted, upon inhalation, the valves in the cones open allowing you to breathe in normally. Upon exhalation, the valves close creating a more narrow outlet for the exhaled air to pass though which in turn creates the pressure that is needed to keep your airway open for the next inhalation.
SIMPLE TO USE
Using the Bongo RX is simple, just insert the device into the nostrils and breathe! On top of being simple to use, the Bongo RX is reusable and can be used for up to 90 days with proper cleaning.

After using a CPAP machine for several years, two months ago (on the recommendation of a friend), I got my doctor to write a prescription for A Bongo RX EPAP device. I have been using the Bongo every night for about two months, and am very pleased with its results; its ease of use; the ease with which I can clean it; and, the added convenience of not having to lug around a CPAP machine with its “bulkiness” and array of electrical cords and air tubes. In addition, my wife is enjoying better night sleeps due to the relative quiet of the Bongo, compared to the CPAP’s noises (due to CPAP’s air leaks and condensation bubbling). Finally, my wife and I are happy with the fact that even when the Bongo is in my nostrils, we can have normal conversation (something that could NOT happen when the CPAP was being operated). All and all, the Bongo has been a total success, and I would recommend anyone with mild to moderate Sleep Apnea give the Bongo a try!

.Great alternative to CPAP
I’m very happy with the Bongo RX device; it works great. Will never go back to a CPAP machine! However, the price for the Bongo is pretty expensive for what they are, and they are not covered by insurance. I would like the option of not having to get another carry case or strap with the annual purchase—just the Bongos. I don’t use the strap, and would only need an occasional carry case.
