The Z2 CPAP delivers fixed therapy CPAP pressure at prescribed settings between 4-20 CM. For people who prefer to fall asleep with therapy at lower pressure levels, the Z2's ramp feature allows you to start your pressure at a lower setting and ramp it up over time to let you adjust more gradually to sleep therapy.

Z2 delivers a more natural breathing experience with a proprietary feature, called Z-Breathe, that smooths therapy pressure -- reducing spikes in pressure during exhalation and drops in pressure during inhalation -- to deliver more comfortable therapy. The Z2 CPAP is programmed to stop delivering therapy within seconds of the mask being removed from the face or when a large leak is detected. No more fumbling to find the stop button in the dark.

AUTOMATIC LEAK COMPENSATION
To ensure you're always receiving your prescribed sleep therapy pressure the Z2 automatically compensates for minor mask leaks. If Z2 detects an excessive air leak, that could be detrimental to therapy, its display screen will warn you to ensure that the leak is corrected promptly.
BIG, BRIGHT, INTELLIGENT LCD DISPLAY
The Z2's large, backlit LCD display provides information on your current pressure setting, ramp time, power status, and more. With the Z2 you can always check your current therapy status, but don't worry the display has an auto-off function so it won't disturb you as you drift off to sleep.
HUMIDIFICATION OPTIONS
If you prefer added humidification when using sleep therapy, the Z2 comes complete with an inline HME Waterless Humidification Filter. A unique alternative to bulky water based humidifiers, HME Filters capture heat and moisture from your breathing as you exhale, preserving and increasing humidity to prevent your airways from drying out during therapy.
COMPATIBLE WITH ANY CPAP MASK
The Z2 comes with a Universal Tube Adapter and a 48 inch slim tube. If you prefer longer tubing or performance tubing it can be used with that too; and Z2 will work with any CPAP mask on the market so choose your favorite... don't worry it IS compatible!

.Died while on travel
This machine worked well for the first few years. I had used it just a couple of months ago while on travel with no problem. I just tried to use it on a trip and it has completely failed. I’m now without it while away from home. Very disappointed.

. My experience with Direct Home Medical
This was my first purchase from Direct Home Medical and I must say their shipping was much faster than expected. I purchased the Z2 portable CPAP machine a couple weeks ago. It is a great but a machine without a reservoir just didn't quite work out for me. I am able to send it back for a full refund because of the 30 night guarantee. Customer service is A+. extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgable. I will continue to order product from them because of their ease of ordering and shipping policies. I highly recommend them.

.Not working for me
I am trying to figure out how to return this item. It is so loud when I'm breathing that I can't fall to sleep. I have been using a cpcp for several years and know when it is not functioning for me

This is a great little machine it works well, it will be perfect for camping trips and traveling. The best thing was my experience with direct home medical. I ordered the incorrect item and they let me know right away and gave me the correct part number for the item I needed . I ordered that item and it was shipped out the same day they are a great company with great communication I will be ordering my supplies from them from now on

.Surprisingly efficient
I bought this little Z2 Breas, when my regular CPAP failed under the recall. This little guy is kind of plug and play, it works great for me. The little HME filter actually functions very well, nearly as well as a real humidifier. I did have trouble setting up the app on my phone; but once it did, I love it! The NiteLog app is very easy to connect to my phone via bluetooth to download my data daily. I love that I can actually see my apneas per hour! Surprised that they are not at all spread out through the night. No connecting to a computer and downloading the reports is NOT easy, and the computer reports are pretty useless. The only additional information that you can get from these reports are the mask leak, which I don't use; but my doctor wants to see them. The other thing is that you must use the F20 mask with these little Z2 machines. Once I discovered the foam cushion F20 mask, I will never go back to my old masks.

.Good start, but the Finish is Waiting
The process of placing the order was good - I received timely support and clear information. Then the CPAP itself arrived quickly. So far so good! The only reason this isn't a 5-star rating is that there is one item on my order that is still back-ordered with no clear delivery date. Maybe it's just 2022 global supply chain, but the outcome for me is the same. Incomplete order. Hopefully soon.

.Z2 doesn't have good pressure but Direct Home Medical is a wonderful company!
My husband used this for about 2 nights. The pressure was little to none. We purchased this to replace his recalled CPAP (since it was the only reasonably priced unit). Do not buy this unless you need very minimal pressure. Purchased this with a 30 night trial. Returned the item as it wasn't useful. Direct Home Medical is a great company and issued a prompt refund. I will return to them for my CPAP needs.

.Did not work well for me
I tried the Z2 Portable CPAP every night for 20 nights. During that time, I developed a sneeze that was so loud and violent that when I sneezed inside the house, my sneeze could be heard for about 40 feet outside of my house. When I stopped using this device (i instead tried the ResMed Air Mini), my sneezing stopped immediately. When the device was set as required by my doctor (pressure of 12), it blew so hard that I had to change from a nasal mask to a full face mask. Finally, I did not have enough humidification from the inline HME Waterless Humidification Filter so I kept waking up from a dry throat. The Air Mini humification system (I am using the HumidX HME Plus Humidifier), worked much better. All in all, I prefer the Air Mini to the Z2 for travel, but I prefer the ResMed AirSense 10 for when I am home.

.Not Enough Air Volume for a Big Guy
I bought a Z2 for camping, based on many good reviews, its light weight and DC capability. I tried it at home on AC power when I received it. Like another poster whose review I had read before buying, I found that the small outlet, and smaller-diameter hose on the Z2, do not allow sufficient air volume to reach my nasal mask. And, increasing the pressure, even to the max, did not provide sufficient flow to prevent feeling a bit "air starved." I am 6'1", 240 lbs. I have never had this experience with another CPAP/APAP device in 20 years of use. So, I returned it pursuant to DHM's generous "try for 30 days free" policy. I plan to buy a different travel APAP (with a full-sized outlet and hose) from DHM, because their service has been great.

The phone support was wonderful. My questions were answered and additional information gained. I just tested my Z2 and it was easy to assemble . I plan to use while camping in an Airstream travel trailer. Shipping was slower than anticipated but order did arrive in a week.

.To Noisy
This machine is to noisy to be able fall asleep and stay asleep. I use the dream full face mask, which sits on top of my head and their is noise coming out constantly above my head which is close to the ears, making it hard to fall asleep.
