The Flare Tip Over-the-Ear Cannula's flexible, contoured lip tab provides a high level of comfort and stability without excess pressure or pinching. In addition the flare tip cannula ends deliver oxygen therapy directly into the nostrils with a wider opening than standard cannulas.

Each individually packaged Flare Tip Over-the-Ear Cannula includes a Star Lumen Supply Tube that is crush and kink-resistant to ensure an uninterrupted oxygen flow. A standard oxygen connector end on each tube ensures easy attachment to most oxygen tubing.

USAGE: This cannula is disposable and should be discarded and replaced when it becomes soiled, discolored or the prongs become stiff. For best performance cannulas should be replaced at least once every 14 days. For complete instructions review the documentation that came with your equipment.

  • The best nasal cannula.

Despite of rigid tubing ( I bought some soft from another company), these ones are hurting less the ear with ear protector. But the most important the prongs are long enough and stay in my nose, without repositioning them multiple times during nights when I need oxygen. Unfortunately I bought many of the other types and I cannot afford to buy more of this type which are a little more expensive, but ship free.

  • Exactly what I was looking for

As my doctor advised me to use an oxygen concentrator at night, I was more-or-less resigned to having to deal with cannulae that didn't really stay put. Practically every night, as I woke up for my many 'calls of nature' I was finding mine resting on my cheekbone; it was giving me dewy-fresh skin but doing diddly for my COPD. Then I chanced upon your website and the instant I saw the picture of the cannula, I knew I was in love. I do not know if it is the flare shape that causes it to almost clasp onto my nasal septum or what...it just WORKED. Thanks a million.

  • They stay-put through the night

Lately, I was waking at night to find my cannula has slid out of my nostrils and is gently oxygenating my cheekbone. While this may make for youthful-looking skin, it was doing diddly for my COPD. THESE li'l buggers, though, tend to make friends with my nasal septum and I find them right where I left them when I awaken. Plus, I don't need to tighten the tubing under my chin as much as I did before. I just love these little dudes!

  • Flare Tip

The flare tip takes up way to much space in your nose. It's bad enough to have the regular size in but this is way bigger than I anticipated. I do not like this type at all.

  • Really something that worth having.

Finally a cannula that stays in the nose and doesn't tip up. More oxygen is always great. I would like a 4 foot lumen better but I'll take this always over the other cannulas. I use these myself and am not a reseller.

  • The Flare Tip Cannula is amazing and gives you that extra confidence that your inhaling will be felt in the lungs. Awesome.

Your company is an especially good company, in that you had the variety packs for both home and poc use. It is always a struggle to find cannulas and tubes that work for YOU. I am passing your company name and information to my groups with COPD and related lung issues.

  • Friendly & helpful

I have started using oxygen about a year ago. I never had to order products for this before. I just found this company on a website and read what others were saying. So I order some items and they came fast and correctly. After awhile I was having a problem with the tubing in my nose. It would not stay in my nose. My nose is normal, maybe a touch small for the length of the tubing, it would fall out every night. I called Direct Medical and explained my problem and they (I can’t remember the ladies name right now) suggested this flared tip. I had read the reviews but still wanted to try it. Well it worked perfectly for me. I never feel like it’s not in my nose a I can’t even feel it. What goes in your nose is a bit longer than others and the flare really gives you the feel that you are getting more air. After reading the comments it’s good for some and not others. For me it was great to speak with a representative from the company. They are very friendly and very helpful. I hate wearing oxygen as much as anybody, but try things to see what works for you. Now if they could find a way to not having the tubing over my ears that would be great! For me.

  • So far, OK

Have only used for two nights so far as have been traveling. At first I was concerned that the tips were too long/bulky but rather quickly got used to them and they've been fine. The supply tubing seems quite comfortable and not stiff.

  • Really, really stiff

Cannula was extremely stiff & it is most uncomfortable. They went in the garbage. What a waste of money which is disconcerting as I am on a fixed income.I like the slider in the Hudson brand & am unable to understand why Hudson doesn’t make a super soft cannula or why West Med doesn’t make their super soft cannula wit the type of slider that is on Hudson

  • Stays in Nose!

Long Flared-Nasal Probe stays in nose! Smaller probes fall out of nose. Also, you can easily hear the air-flow coming out the nasal probes, much more with this Cannula than others, (even when standing 3 feet away). Hearing the flow, provides a good verification and piece-of-mind that the Oxygen is flowing.

  • Love Flare Tip Cannulas

Love the flare tip with the demand-pulse valve on tank and oxygen generator. Could not find local oxygen supplier that would provide them through Medicate. Talking to my pulmonary doctor next week about prescribing them for patients. Will continue to buy them on my own since they're the best and easy to get from Home Medical.

  • better than I expected

VERY SATISFIED!!! Cannula is soft and comfortable. With the flared I have no movement inside nose where regular type caused discomfort from moving around, stays in place, feel I'm getting more oxygen going in my nose and not as much drifting down the sides. Will not go back to regular type. Shipping was fast. No problems to report.

  • Great idea

I can't use this due to the stiffness of a large portion of the tubing. It's not adjustable or accommodating enough for my needs so I have to toss it out. Otherwise, if you don't need a large amount of adjustment on your cannula sets this is very soft and the flare is gentle and easy on the nose.
