Inline Bacterial Viral Filters are a great option for sleep therapy users who are prone to sickness or allergies. They actively clean the air as it leaves your CPAP or BiPAP machine, working in conjunction with the machine's built in filters, to provide exceptionally clean air throughout the night.

These Universal Inline Bacterial Viral Filters are naturally hydrophobic so they allow maximum filtration with a minimum loss of air flow. Each unit is sonically sealed so there are no chemical adhesives or unwanted material residue. Universal Inline BV Filters are easy to install and should not require re-calibration on most CPAP machines. Simply attach the filter to your machine between the air outlet and your standard CPAP tubing. After that, turn on your machine and experience a steady flow of clean, pure, good tasting air.
USAGE: Inline Bacterial Viral filters are disposable and should be replaced whenever the white filter material begins to look dirty. These filters will last on average 4-6 weeks before needing to be replaced, however your filters may last for a longer or shorter amount of time depending on environmental conditions.

COMPATIBILITY NOTES
- HEATED TUBING Inline Bacterial Viral Filters are generally attached to the CPAP or BiPAP machine's air outlet; however machines that offer integrated heated tubing require the tubing to be connected directly to the machine. If you want to use an Inline Bacterial Viral Filter with a heated tube consider attaching the BV Filter at the end of the heated tubing closest to the mask. If that is too bulky for you a FeatherWeight connector tube can be added to move the BV Filter further away from the mask attachment.
- HEATED HUMIDIFICATION Some users find that using in-line Bacterial Viral filters can reduce pressure and therapy effectiveness in humidified CPAP machines. If you experience reduced pressure when using an Inline Bacterial Viral Filter with a humidifier, remove the filter and allow it to dry out completely before re-installing on your system or discontinue use of the Inline Bacterial Viral filter completely.
- AUTO-ADJUSTING MACHINES Use of Inline Bacterial Viral Filters may adversely effect auto sensing on Auto-CPAP systems especially at pressures below 7 CM H2O. If your average treatment pressure is below 7 CM H2O Inline Bacterial Viral Filters are not recommended.

No problems so far. The air coming into my mask feels and smells significantly fresher than before. Works much better than the filter on my machine. Mask, machine humidifier, and hose still need to be cleaned at least once a week, but this appears to be a less expensive option for maintaining fresh, clean, bacteria free air coming into my mask.

I used to have chronic sinus infections no matter how often I disinfected my mask, tubing, and humidifier. Then I tried the inline bacterial/viral filter. Immediate relief. It's been five years now without an infection and I only disinfect my mask once a month. Also I was able to drastically reduce humidification for comfortable breathing.

Probably a great product for the right application but for me it restricted the airflow noticeably and I had to remove it. I wanted to try it but I believe its not for all cpaps but I'm sure works for other units. I did buy it as a trial and this review is based on that. I have the 600 F & P series.

.Another Barrier to Germs and Viruses
I've added this to my VPAP system to add another germ/bacteria barrier to air tubing I use. I connect it to a short 1 foot tube that I use to connect to mask. Only improvement would be a twist locking mechanism instead of a slide on. But it works great as is. I've slipped end hose off on on hundreds of times without having issues with hose sealing.

I never thought to much about using a filter like this. I thought the standard two filters on my machine would handle any airborne particles. I tried these because I kept waking up with my nose feeling plugged up. After just a few days I could see how much these filters were helping. The white filter was turning brown from all the dust it was picking up and I was sleeping better. I will never go without using these filters! I've stocked up on them. I change the filter when they start to look to dirty, about once a month unless I'm traveling, then a little more often. I buy them when they are on sale, so it costs less than $2 a month to breathe fresh air.

.A healthy add, but bulky
This device is a good idea to keep bacteria and other 'bad things' from getting to your mask, but it does create a lot of back pressure and is relatively bulky and heavy. If you can install it close to the CPAP machine outlet instead of between the hose and mask, it would be less intrusive. The back pressure prevents my auto-off feature from working - if that is important to you, please be aware.

This filter works great and does what it says but the reason I gave it only 4 stars is that it said it last 4-6 weeks depending on how heavy dirty the air it's filtering. I live in a normal 4 bed room house nothing unusual but the filter only lasts up to 1 week but they do the job outstanding beside the short time of use.

until I started using these filters, I was unaware of how much junk I was breathing in. These filters opened my eyes to the amount of dirt and particles were coming out of my old machine. I never thought about the need for an inline viral filter or the benefit until the recent Ebola virus outbreak and it got me thinking that it might not be a bad idea. Well I cannot speak quantitatively to the results, however, qualitatively, the air that I am breathing is fresh and clean smelling and there is something to be said for that. I think you long-term CPAP users know what I am talking about. This is a great product and I would highly recommend it.

With asthma and apnea in a home with four birds, three cats and three German Shepherds I have to be very careful with the air quality. Since I purchased the filter I have been breathing a lot better. At first the air flow was reduced and it took a couple of nights to get used to it but now I will always have one. Also with the stand to elevate the hose it works even better when the filter is used. I highly recommend trying this filter.

I purchased a few of these as I worry about funny things making their way into my nasal cavity. Really, how clean can you get components? Have not had a problem with these and they do the job. However, you may find a lose in airflow at first. At least it seemed that way to me. I bumped up my airflow by .5 and it was good but after a bit of time the filter relaxes and air moves through better so I'm back to my regular setting.

This does look like it would be excellent. I ran into a couple of problems when I started using it, and I'm not entirely sure of the cause. I have a PR System One REMstar PLUS 250 CPAP Machine Package with Heated Humidifier & C-Flex, and for some reason the new filter became wet and stayed wet, possibly because the humidifier water was collecting in it. This of course could be a breeding ground for mold, so I stopped using it. It was also reducing the amount of air supply.

Delivery Was Super Fast! The Product Was Exactly As Advertised. I Must Say The Filter Has Worked To Clean Up The Air For Me. I Have Not Woken Up With Any Sinus Issues As Of Yet. I bought my first one to try a few weeks ago not knowing whether or not it would be helpful. To my surprise, the unit did very well in providing additional filtering of the air being inhaled. I did not notice any drastic change in the air flow and do not see the need for an adjustment of the pressure settings. Since using the inline filter I have not experienced the dryness and seem to be breathing better. I recently ordered an additional dozen so that I would have them on hand at all times and will plan on using them at all times in the future. The only negative I could perceive is the lack of a reusable filter container itself where just the filters could be replaced. Otherwise an excellent product.
