Description

Transcend II Mini CPAP is compatible with all CPAP masks and includes a wide pressure range, adjustable ramp, therapy tracking, a universal power supply, and automatic altitude adjustment.

^literature~ ^videos~

^faqs~
  • When I turn on my Transcend the therapy air comes out very strongly; it keeps getting stronger for about 15 seconds and then the machine just shuts off. What am I doing wrong?
It sounds like you do not have the Universal Hose Adapter properly installed on your unit. For proper operation the Universal Hose Adapter MUST ALWAYS be in place on the Transcend CPAP machine when Standard or Performance CPAP Tubing is used without the heated humidifier.

  • I just received my new Transcend and it smells a bit "hot" like it's burning when I turn it on. Is there something wrong?
In rare instances the Transcend CPAP may give off a mechanical or "hot" smell when it is first run. This is a remnant of the manufacturing process and should go away once the machine has been run for a few hours.

This machine is small which is nice, but I was surprised to find that the exhalation pressure is too high for me. I did not even know this was adjustable, just assumed they were all standard. Too late I found out this machine does not allow this setting to be adjusted AND the machine is not returnable. I spoke with a rep before I ordered and they did NOT mention it was not returnable, and it is not clearly marked non-returnable online. I do not know if I will be able to adjust to this exhalation pressure or not, but if I can't then my money will be wasted. This is not some sort of accessory which someone can choose to use or not, it is necessary medical equipment, and if not returnable, should be clearly marked.

If I didn’t also have a full-featured CPAP, this Mini unit would suffice. My prescribed pressure level is only 7, and I use a nasal mask or pillow, and not having an humidifier is okay for me. It’s not as “loud” as some have reported, and the total kit, with bag, comes to only around 3 lbs. This is also nice to have for back-up to the “big” machine. Full retail price is about half that of its most direct competitor, as well.

Completely agree with this person:The Transcend II works fine. It is light and easy to carry. The Multi-night battery only gave me a about 10 hours of performance when it died. I recharged it and tried again and got the same result. So, if one thinks multi-night should be around 16 hours, it is disappointing. However I do like the machine itself and the battery pack if only used for one night

Small, Light, Comfortably priced. First night was fine ! slightly more audible airflow sounds from the exhaust, but i was able to sleep through it. Case was also light and compact, and easy to empty and fill. Definitely a better option for travel, than my 'everynight' unit.

I have had a Transcend II for a few years and really have loved it. I was thinking it was time for a new one "just in case" but was waiting for a sale. This price is great and well worth it for a perfect replacement for my current unit.

I purchased this to take with me when I travel for work. The problem is, my pressure level is 20 and it is nearly impossible NOT to have any leakage on the mask seal at that pressure. I called customer service, but the auto-stop could not be disengaged. I am not back to my heavier "regular" cpap, on which the auto-stop can be disengaged and this little guy sits in my closet. Would be a great product otherwise.

The CPAP unit is super small, quiet and as advertised. But filter is flimsy and hard to clean. The humidifier tank is a bigger problem. It appears to be designed for looks and compatibility with the unit with NO THOUGHT of ease of use by the consumer. It's awkward to fill and clean and doesn't like to slide back into the machine easily. Also bulky for travel, negating the small size of the CPAP unit. This is my third cpap and aside from the small size and quieter performance it's not a huge improvement. I prefer the M series humidifier for home and the all-in-one Intellipap for travel to this unit (because I need the humidifier every night). I regret the purchase. Should have stuck with Intellipap.

I have taken mine to europe, India and back country canoe camping. The battery pack works about 1.5 nights for me, so you might need a way to charge (solar panel) or second battery. I do not have the humidification unit, I just go without humidification while travelling.

I love the Transcend II. I bought it primarily for travel, but it's so quiet I use it as my go-to machine right now. In some travel settings, I've actually had it on the bed, next to my pillow, and didn't hear it. The humidification system, though, is the worst thing I can possibly imagine. It's so loud that it actually *gives* me sleep apnea. It makes noise on the intake, rather than the outflow, and with the humidification system, I can't get to sleep while breathing. I hold my breath until I fall asleep, and then, when I inhale, I wake up again. My wife said it's nearly as loud as my window-rattling snore. So get the Transcend II for its quietness, but learn to live without humidification.

I'm very pleased with the appearance, usefulness, and especially the light weight of the machine. It's difficult to feel the ON/On depression, however. I applied a piece of adhesive felt there and it's easier, but I'd suggest you add an easily felt bump or true depression.

I ordered the Transcend II Ultra-Light CPAP Machine Package because of its compactness and light weight.I try to do most of my travel with only a carry-on bag, which is hard to do with a CPAP machine that takes up 1/3 to 1/2 the space in the bag.The Transcend II performs well, is ruggedly build and takes up remarkably little space!
