Description

CLEAN, SOPHISTICATED DESIGN
The clean sophisticated design of the DeVilbiss IntelliPAP Standard CPAP System clearly points the way towards the future of APAP therapy. From the ground up the IntelliPAP has been designed with patients in mind including whisper quiet operation (26 dBA average), an exceptionally small footprint, a complete feature set, the industry's longest standard warranty (5 years!), automatic altitude adjusment, adjustable ramp, etc.

OPTIONAL HEATED HUMIDIFICATION
In addition to being a great CPAP system the IntelliPAP can be coupled with a brilliant, truly-integrated heated humidifier. The IntelliPAP Integrated Heated Humidifier docks into the bottom of the unit without requiring a separate hose or power cord. The humidifier chamber is easy to remove and replace and it includes built-in overfill protection which prevents humidifier water from damaging the CPAP!

ADJUSTABLE RAMP FEATURE
Most people find it is easier to fall asleep with a lower therapy pressure that gradually increases to the full prescribed pressure setting over time. The IntelliPAP's ramp comfort feature does this. Ramp time can be set from 0-45 minutes (in 5 minute increments); and If you wake up in the night and have trouble falling back to sleep, the ramp can be reinitiated with the simple push of a button.

SMARTCODE SLEEP THERAPY COMPLIANCE
SmartCode system from DeVilbiss makes it fast and easy to access sleep therapy data -- whether it is for yourself, for your job, or for your doctor. SmartCode is an alpha-numeric code that is shown on the display of the IntelliPAP. Your code can be phoned in to your doctor, emailed to your job, or you can use it yourself. The characters and sequences in your SmartCode contain vital sleep therapy usage data in an encrypted form. Enter the code into the SmartCode Report Generator at IntelliPAP.COM and you'll have instant access to your therapy data in easy to read reports that can be saved or printed. No external software or data card is needed, everything is always available right on your machine!

I purchased the Intellipap Standard Travel CPAP machine for overnight sailing, camping trips and travel. It works perfectly off the deep cell 12 volt battery on our sailboat. I purchased the additional 12 volt DC power cord that plugs into a cigarette outlet, with about 12 feet of power cord that plugs into the unit. Eight hours of operation reduces the battery charge by 50%. That allows me to recharge the battery running the engine the following day. I can see that it could drain a battery charge completely if you didn

U I have used a CPAP device for over 15 years and have never owned one so comfortable nor efficient. Intellipap is easy to operate and the directions are easy to follow. Also, Direct Home Medical has been very supportive and responded quickly to all my many questions when I was contemplating purchasing a new device.

I've only had it for a few days, but I am already very happy with it. It replaces my trusty old Phillips Respironics REMstar Plus M-Series. The IntelliPAP has a smaller foot print than the REMstar, but is taller. As far as total volume goes, I think they are fairly close, at least with the humidifier option on both. I do however think the IntelliPAP will fit in my carry-on better. As far as noise goes; I am not sure if the IntelliPAP is quieter, or if it's just that the sound it makes is a lower pitch? But it sure feels less noisy! Now I can hear the fan on the other side of the bedroom. I didn't used to be able to hear that over the REMstar. In case you are wondering about the lack of "auto flex", "c flex" or whatever they call it, I truly don't miss it at all. I do run at fairly high pressure (18 cm H2O), so you'd think I would need it more than most? But I do not miss it. My REMstar had "C-Flex", and I believe I had it set to 1 (1 cm H2O drop in pressure on exhale). I recall "playing" with it when I got the REMstar 4.5 years ago, but never really noticed a difference. I guess I still don't :-) If you already have a CPAP with "Flex", you may want to try turning it off and see if that bothers you before you buy this one. There are other versions of this CPAP that do offer "Auto-Flex". Anyway, I am very happy with this one. The price is certainly right, it looks and feels well-built, and is easy to use. I love the fact that you can set it up to turn off the LCD panel when in use. Now I only have to cover the darn light that shows the heater is on :-)

Small and compact, this machine is so much better than the ResMed S9 machine and H5 Humidifier I had before. I paid for it myself, because my insurance would only provide the Resmed machine. It is quiet, can sit on my nightstand and does not have that stupid whistle the Resmed machine has. A couple of things that weren't the greatest, and the reasons I didn't give it 5 stars. First, the instructions are horribly lacking. They are not helpful in the least. Mostly, they are pictures and that's it. No instructions for the humidifier. I think I am filling it right. Second, if my mask leaks, the machine whistles a little, not as bad as the Resmed machine. If I get my mask on right, it is very quiet. I use nasal pillows and they can leak pretty often. Regardless if these small inconveniences, I really love the machine. I am using it all the time, but it will also be good for travel.

Purchased this IntelliPAP Travel CPAP as a back-up to my main CPAP machine. I travel 6-8 times per year and I wasn't thrilled with the idea of risking damage to my main Resmed S-9 unit. Based on initial use the unit is definitely quiet and appears it will pack well. Since I just rec'd it several weeks ago, I haven't actually yet used the IntelliPAP unit while traveling. However, I believe it will fit all of my needs when I do travel. Compared the IntelliPAP unit to 3-4 other travel products online and I feel this product was the best choice. The only negative comment is the IntelliPAP unit is app. 20% larger than I had expected based on the manufacturer's photos.
