great for travel and for home
Written By: TCB, Boston 8/1/2016
This is a wonderful little machine. Very compact and very quiet. I orignally got it for travel and have used it easily (with battery pack) on long-distance flights. I like it so much that it has replaced a larger one that I used to use at home.
That said, there are a couple of problems. The on-off button is so small that it is hard to find (especially if you are sleepy and fumbling for it in the dark). Second, the period of time it takes for the unit to shut off is simply too short. If you are fumbling to re-adjust the mask in the middle of the night, you don't have time to do that before it turns itself off).
Wonderful for size, but auto-stop with any air leakage bad for those on high pressure

I purchased this to take with me when I travel for work. The problem is, my pressure level is 20 and it is nearly impossible NOT to have any leakage on the mask seal at that pressure. I called customer service, but the auto-stop could not be disengaged. I am not back to my heavier "regular" cpap, on which the auto-stop can be disengaged and this little guy sits in my closet. Would be a great product otherwise.
CPAP is OK, but humidifier is user-hostile

The CPAP unit is super small, quiet and as advertised. But filter is flimsy and hard to clean. The humidifier tank is a bigger problem. It appears to be designed for looks and compatibility with the unit with NO THOUGHT of ease of use by the consumer. It's awkward to fill and clean and doesn't like to slide back into the machine easily. Also bulky for travel, negating the small size of the CPAP unit. This is my third cpap and aside from the small size and quieter performance it's not a huge improvement. I prefer the M series humidifier for home and the all-in-one Intellipap for travel to this unit (because I need the humidifier every night). I regret the purchase. Should have stuck with Intellipap.
Good when off the grid

I have taken mine to europe, India and back country canoe camping. The battery pack works about 1.5 nights for me, so you might need a way to charge (solar panel) or second battery. I do not have the humidification unit, I just go without humidification while travelling.
Very Small footprint

Love this machine. On the road about 150 days per year carry my CPAP everywhere. Have been using a CPAP since 1997 and this is the best small machine that I have used.
Multi-night is in the eye of the beholder

The Transcend II works fine. It is light and easy to carry. The Multi-night battery only gave me a about 10 hours of performance when it died. I recharged it and tried again and got the same result. So, if one thinks multi-night should be around 16 hours, it is disappointing.
Little Package, Big YES!

Wonderful for travelers or for home use. I have ordered the battery pack so can't comment on that yet, but have been using as my home unit in preparation for an upcoming trip.

I used the Transcend II Ultra-Light CPAP Machine Package on my trip to China. Excellent! A must have for travelers. Battery life was excellent. Thanks for your advice. Very satisfied!
Transcend II great! Humidification terrible
Written By: Brian N., 10/14/2012
I love the Transcend II. I bought it primarily for travel, but it's so quiet I use it as my go-to machine right now. In some travel settings, I've actually had it on the bed, next to my pillow, and didn't hear it. The humidification system, though, is the worst thing I can possibly imagine. It's so loud that it actually *gives* me sleep apnea. It makes noise on the intake, rather than the outflow, and with the humidification system, I can't get to sleep while breathing. I hold my breath until I fall asleep, and then, when I inhale, I wake up again. My wife said it's nearly as loud as my window-rattling snore. So get the Transcend II for its quietness, but learn to live without humidification.
First days with the Transcend II

I'm very pleased with the appearance, usefulness, and especially the light weight of the machine. It's difficult to feel the ON/On depression, however. I applied a piece of adhesive felt there and it's easier, but I'd suggest you add an easily felt bump or true depression.
Transcend II CPAP

This unit is unbelievably small, light and quiet. I bought it to use backpacking with a battery. Together they weigh about as much as a liter of water!. I'm very glad I bought this CPAP machine!

I ordered the Transcend II Ultra-Light CPAP Machine Package because of its compactness and light weight.I try to do most of my travel with only a carry-on bag, which is hard to do with a CPAP machine that takes up 1/3 to 1/2 the space in the bag.The Transcend II performs well, is ruggedly build and takes up remarkably little space!
