This humidifier is very effective and easy to use. The heat element burnt out while the CPAP is still operating fine. Fortunately it is an easy exchange. There are blue lights that come on when the humidifier is in use that are too bright and I have to cover them.

M-Series Heated Humidifier for REMstar CPAP Series R-3

From the moment, I called for inquire online to having the order placed and received, I found all the folks I spoke to friendly and responsible to making sure my part replacement was received in excellent shape. This was my second machine when the humidifier went on the fritz as the bluie light blinked inside. It was very easy to slip apart humidifier goes forward and CPAP goes backwards to unhook the two parts. Asides from this on discovery it came with instructions as well. This humidifier was needed because I used to wake up dry mouth. When I set it on 5 with the knob I was finally fine . The humidifier and CPAP together is a very quiet machine even quieter than it was before. Don't know how but it is ! In the meantime -it did need a prescription from your doctor to get to place the actual order.
Review M-Series Heated Humidifier.

I received my M-series REMstar CPAP Machine, in December 2008. After less than one year, the heater element stopped working. It was replaced, under warranty. In May of 2012, the heater element again stopped working. I called my supplier and was told the machine was no longer under warranty. Being a senior citzen my insurance provider is Medicare. They allow you a new CPAP machine once every five years. I'm searching the internet, for a low cost, (cheap) M-Series CPAP machine's heated Humidifier . Therefore I can't give this product a very good review.
